London is currently home to the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League, who play at the John Labatt Centre, the host arena of the 2005 Memorial Cup. The Knights were both 2004-2005 OHL and Memorial Cup Champions. They are by far the most popular sports team in the city.

The festival takes place in Harris Park at the forks of the Thames River during Simcoe Day (first Monday in August) weekend. In addition to the balloon launches and rides, the festival features various other attractions including a full amusement park midway, concerts, laser shows, and a night glow.
Springbank Park is a 300 acre park located along a stretch of the Thames River in London, ON. As the largest park in London, it contains 30 km of trails and is home to Storybook Gardens. At Springbank Park, there also are climbers, swings, a wading pool, picnic areas and soccer fields.
